Our Kids mask is a class I medical device, developed by our in-house team and consists of three layers.
But why Type I and not II/IIR?
We
finally decided to use Type I. The decision results from the fact that
children are not advised to put on Type II or IIR. This is due to
the density of the other variants (Type II/R).
The denser a mask is, the more the airway resistance increases.
- The inner layer is a non-woven fabric that serves to absorb moisture released by the user.
- The outer layer is hydrophobic to protect the user from splashes.
- The filtering layer in the middle is the most important part of the medical face mask as it provides a barrier against germs.
In addition, the mask includes an all-plastic
nose clip and ear loops to fit the mask to the child's face. The pleated
design allows the mask to be customized to fit the shape of the face.
This
mask is breathable, it reduces the risk of spreading infections,
especially in epidemic or pandemic situations, and has been tested with a
bacterial filtration rate (BFE) of 95%.
The product is intended for daily, short-term and one-time use in public.
